The Small Finds and Vessel Glass from Insula VI.1 Pompeii: Excavations 1995–2006

H. E. M. Cool publishes the small finds and vessel glass recovered from excavations in Insula VI.1 at Pompeii between 1995 and 2006. Objects that can appear minor in isolation become especially informative when studied as an assemblage tied to specific buildings, rooms and phases of occupation.

More than 5,000 finds range from jewellery and dress accessories to medical and toiletry equipment, household utensils, craft tools and objects associated with recreation or religion. The printed book discusses the assemblage, illustrates the evidence and catalogues a selection; the complete catalogue and further excavation context are provided separately online through the Archaeology Data Service. That division is an important part of how this excavation report should be used.
